Formally known as Anderson’s Giant Party Store, the company began in 1968, and exclusively supplied prom décor through its direct-mail catalogue. Today, GiantPartyStore.com is still the number one supplier in the country of prom decorations, but also offers a wide variety of other party supplies primarily through their website.

Giant Party Store has more than 13,000 party items on their website, nearly everything you’ll need to celebrate all the major holidays, birthdays, and life milestones. However, the site doesn’t have quite the selection of party themes we’ve seen from the other sites we reviewed, and overall, there are certainly not as many products as our top ten rated party supplies stores. The site does offer a clearance section with discounted merchandise up to 75% off though selection is sparse.

The site could definitely use some polishing and fine-tuning to make it look more professional. The product pictures are not very high quality and there is no option to zoom or enlarge the photos.

Short of some party-planning tips and fun facts, the site does not provide any additional tools or resources for customers. We’d love to see an entire section with lots of free party games, recipes, theme ideas and much more to aid customers in planning all types of events and occasions.

One thing we did like about the Giant Party Store website was their special offerings for customers. For example, first-time shoppers can join their email list and receive a coupon for 15% off their next order. The site will often sponsor a contest (like a Halloween costume contest) where the winner receives $100 in merchandise. You’ll often see a promo code on the homepage for free shipping (each promo code is only valid for a limited time).
